We wish to inform our customers that the Internet service is currently experiencing a degradation in performance caused by several outages at some of the international links. This is attributed to the Richter 7.1 magnitude earthquake that struck off the southern coast of Taiwan at 12.07 a.m. on 27th December 2006, which caused the APCN2 (Asia Pacific Cable Network 2) submarine cable fault between Shantou, China and Tanshui, Taiwan and between Lantau, Hong Kong and Chongming, China.

This has caused outages at several TM Net international transit and peering links, mainly to the said countries. As a result, Internet users in Malaysia and other parts of Asia may be experiencing some delay when assessing content and websites hosted outside of Malaysia, especially in U.S., Japan, China, Taiwan, Korea and Europe. TM Net has taken immediate action to divert traffic through other back-up links to reduce the traffic congestion.

The international providers are carrying out immediate restoration works to rectify the problem. We will be making further announcements when the service has resumed.

TM Net Sdn Bhd apologizes for any inconvenience caused whilst at the same time, we would like to assure you that we are doing all that is necessary in order to restore the service as soon as possible.

Customers can call TM Net Customer Interaction Centre at 1-300-88-9515 (24 hours) or 1-300-88-1515 from 8:00 a.m. till midnight or e-mail us at custcare@tm.net.my for further enquiries about this matter.

黄门张氏寿享八十有余

国王的秘密

有一个国王在花园中散步，看见一条美丽的七彩小蛇，被困在荆棘的围篱里。有位善心的国王，便挑开围篱，解救了小蛇，他对小蛇说：「以后出来游玩，自己要多加小心。」

第二天，国王在花园里散步的时候，遇到了一位衣着华丽、威仪无比的人，国王讶异的问他：「你是什么人？是如何闯进皇宫的花园？」
人说：「国王不用惊慌，我是龙宫里的龙王，今天特别来向你表答谢意的。」
「为何要感谢我呢？」国王说。
龙王说：「昨天我的小女儿，偷偷跑到您的花园赏花，不小心被围篱困住了，幸好您及时解救，否则早就被太阳晒死了，您对龙宫的大恩，我不知如回报，您要什么，尽管说出来，我一定会满足您所愿。」

国王听了，沉呤了半天，他说：「我的皇宫有许多宝物，实在不缺少什么但是如果可以的话， 我希望能通晓百畜鸟兽的语言，我经常在观察鸟兽，觉得它们十分有趣可爱，只可惜听不懂它们说的话。」
龙王说：「这并不困难，但是您想知道鸟兽语言，从今天起就不能吃它们的肉，不可能一边残害鸟兽，一边还能听懂它们的话。您素斋戒七天以后，自然能听懂鸟兽。」
龙王说完，深深鞠躬致谢，就消失不见了， 国王正在错愕的时候，空中又传来龙王的声音： 「但是您绝对不能让任何人知道，您听得懂动物的话，这个秘密一旦泄露，您的能力就会消失了。」

国王依照龙王的嘱咐，素食斋戒，过了七天，到了第七天吃晚饭的时候， 突然就听见动物的说话。
国王听到停在屋梁上的两只飞蛾说话， 一只母飞蛾说：「喂！死相！你去捡那粒掉在地上的饭粒给我吃！」

飞蛾说：「疯婆子！你想吃不会自己去捡吗？」
飞蛾：「你没看我这么胖，飞不动吗？你以前还常说你爱我，连捡一粒饭也不肯? 」
公飞蛾：「你这是活该！叫你减肥你老是不肯，好吃懒做，才会胖成这样！你没看国王和王妃正在用餐，现在飞去捡饭粒，不是要我的老命吗？你是不是爱上别人，想谋杀亲夫吗？」王听到这里，忍不住哈哈大笑。
王妃疑惑的问：「你在笑什么呢？」
国王说：「没什么！没什么！」就沉默不语了。

吃过晚餐，国王和王妃喝茶， 又听见屋顶上的两只壁虎在说话。
公壁虎说：「让开，我要过去！」
母壁虎偏偏不肯，挡住公壁虎的去路：「这么晚了，你要去哪里？是不是又要去找隔壁的狐狸精！」
公壁虎说：「神经病！跟你说过多少次，我跟隔壁的根本没有关系，而且人家相夫教子，也不是什么狐狸精。」
「好！好！你这个死没良心的，每次都为这个女的和我争吵，说！你为什么老帮她说话？如果没什么关系，你跑到隔壁做什么？」
「我不是去隔壁，我是出去散散心，我快要受不了了！快让开！」
母壁虎哭起来：「我偏不给你过去，死没良心的，从前说生生世世永不分离，现在在一起不到一个月，就受不了 ???? 呜呜呜 ???? 。」两只壁虎拉扯半天，一起从屋顶上掉下来，尾巴都断了，公壁虎长叹一声：「真倒霉！这个月已经第三次摔断尾巴了。」

国王听到这里又大笑不止，茶水都溅了出来，王妃狐疑的问：「您在笑什么？」
「没什么！没什么！」国王又沉默了。从国王听懂动物说话的那一天开始，就常常无缘无故的笑起来，这使王妃非常痛苦，心想：「国王心里一定藏著什么重大的秘密，如果我不用生命威胁，他一定不会告诉我的。」

有一天，国王又无故失笑了。 王妃就大闹起来：「你今天如果不告诉我为什么笑，我就自杀，死在您的面前。」国王感到苦恼，但他实在不能把秘密告诉王妃， 就说：「你先别自杀，等我出去散散心，来才告欣你吧！」 国王出门去散心，王妃内心窃喜，在宫中等待。

国王散步走过花园的羊栏时，突然听见了羊的对话。
母羊说：「亲爱的，我怀孕走不动了，你快来背我！」
公羊说：「走的好好的，干嘛叫我背？」
母羊说：「你如果不过来背我，我就自杀，死在你的面前！」
公羊：「自杀？别说笑了，你哪里学到这种愚笨的想法？」
母羊：「我刚刚听见国王和王妃吵架，王妃索求不遂，就说要自杀，国王马上就答应 她的要求，自杀是很好的武器呀！我想找你用用看，证明你和从前一样爱我！」

公羊听了，哈哈大笑：「说你笨，你还真是笨呢！自杀是全世界最愚笨可笑的行为，动物里只有人才会那么愚痴， 没有别的动物会笨到去自杀，每只动物都爱惜生命，也有独立自主的意志，你自杀，我又不能代你死，与我有什么相干呢？你现在是要学没用的人类自杀，或是做一只尊严的羊，自己走过来呢？」
母羊听了，静静的走向公羊。

羊栏外的国王自言自语：「难道我做为一个国王，智慧不如一只公羊吗？」
国王散步回宫，看见王妃还杵在那里，王妃说：「你今天如果不告诉我，为什么总是无缘无故发笑，我一定会自杀的。」
国王说：「我和你在一起时，经常失笑，是因为想到从前和你在一起的欢笑时光，喝茶 的时候想到，吃饭的时候也想到，时时刻刻都在想。」
王妃说：「您为什么不和我分享呢？」
国王说：「放在心里想比较甜蜜，说出来就没那么甜蜜了， 就好像充满香气的琉璃瓶，一打开，香气就散走，再也不能回味了。」
王妃笑着，深情脉脉的看着国王! 。

国王突然听见梁上的母飞蛾对公飞蛾说：「你要多多学学，人类多么甜言蜜语。」

断尾的母壁虎对公壁虎说：「如果你肯那样对我说话，我再也不和你争吵！」
国王又笑了。

喜欢是淡淡的爱；爱是深深的喜欢。
人不会因为获得许多爱而觉得人生有意义
却会因为付出许多爱而越肯定生命的价值

The House of 1000 Mirrors

Long ago in a small, far away village, there was place known as the House of 1000 Mirrors.

A small, happy little dog learned of this place and decided to visit. When he arrived, he bounced happily up the stairs to the doorway of the house. He looked through the doorway with his ears lifted high and his tail wagging as fast as it could. To his great surprise, he found himself staring at 1000 other happy little dogs with their tails wagging just as fast as his. He smiled a great smile, and was answered with 1000 great smiles just as warm and friendly. As he left the House, he thought to himself, "This is a wonderful place. I will come back and visit it often."

In this same village, another little dog, who was not quite as happy as the first one, decided to visit the house. He slowly climbed the stairs and hung his head low as he looked into the door. When he saw the 1000 unfriendly looking dogs staring back at him, he growled at them and was horrified to see 1000 little dogs growling back at him. As he left, he thought to himself, "That is a horrible place, and I will never go back there again."

我的志愿，是做一个工程师。每天，我会做很多工程。放工了，我到超级市场买了一公升可乐、一包卤水鸡翼、还有一包肠，因为，特价啊！

我的志愿，是做一个消防队长。每天，我都救熄很多火。放工了，我和我的队员排骨、高佬、肥强他们一起吃了个四人套餐。有招牌鸡、梅菜扣肉。还可选择冬瓜盅，代替例汤。可是，要加三十元。

我的志愿，是做一个卧底探员。每天，我都和一班贼一起吃麻辣火锅。放工了，我静悄悄和一班警察一起，吃涮羊肉。汤底到了，我的上司跟我说：「麦兜，小心啊！」

Holding Hands

A little girl and her father were crossing a bridge. The father was kind of scared so he asked his little daughter, "Sweetheart, please hold my hand so that you don't fall into the river."

The little girl said, "No, Dad. You please hold my hand."

"What's the difference, darling?", asked the puzzled father.

The little girl replied, "Dad, if I hold your hand and something happens to me, I may let your hand go. But if you hold my hand, no matter what happens, you will never let my hand go."

黃庭堅 (1045～1105）

黃巢 (？～884)
唐 曹州人。出身鹽商，積財聚眾，尤好收留亡命之徒。唐懿宗以來， 因皇室奢侈過度，賦稅沈重，加上連年發生水﹑旱災，遂致民不聊生，盜匪群起。僖宗乾符元年（西元874)，王仙芝率盜匪起事，翌年黃巢起兵響應，乾符五年 王仙芝敗死於湖北，黃巢被推舉為衝天大將軍，率眾攻掠江﹑浙﹑閩﹑粵等地，廣明元年（西元 880)陷洛陽、長安，僖宗逃奔成都，巢自號為帝，國號大齊。唐以官爵籠絡李克用相援，大敗黃巢，巢自刎身亡，為害十年的黃巢之亂始告結束，史稱為黃巢之 亂。

黃道婆

元朝時擅於紡織技術的女工藝家。曾隨崖州黎族學習紡織技術，學成後返鄉從事紡織工作，促成棉紡織業的進步，使元明以後的松江細布聞名於四方。紡織業者遂立祠祭之，以感其功。亦稱為黃婆。

天空為何藍色

　　我們看到的天空，經常是蔚藍色的，特別是一場大雨之後，天空更是幽藍得像一泓秋水，令人心曠神怡，躍躍欲飛。天空為什麼是蔚藍色的呢？

　　大氣本身是無色的。天空的藍色是大氣分子、冰晶、水滴等和陽光共同創作的圖景。

　　陽光進入大氣時，波長較長的色光，如紅光，透射力大，能透過大氣射向地面；而波長短的紫、藍、青色光，碰到大氣分子、冰晶、水滴等時，就很容易發生散射現象。被散射了的紫、藍、青色光佈滿天空，就使天空呈現出一片蔚藍了。

The Most Important Part of the Body

My mother used to ask me what the most important part of the body is. Through the years I would take a guess at what I thought was the correct answer. When I was younger, I thought sound was very important to us as humans, so I said, 'My ears, Mommy.' She said, 'No. Many people are deaf. But you keep thinking about it and I will ask you gain soon.'

Several years passed before she asked me again. Since making my first attempt, I had contemplated the correct answer. So this time I told her, 'Mommy, sight is very important to everybody, so it must be our eyes'. She looked at me and told me, 'You are learning fast, but the answer is not correct because there are many people who are blind.

'Stumped again, I continued my quest for knowledge and over the years, Mother asked me a couple more times and always her answer was, 'No. But you are getting smarter every year, my child.'

Then last year, my grandpa died. Everybody was hurt. Everybody was crying. Even my father cried. I remember that especially because it was only the second time I saw him cry.

My Mom looked at me when it was our turn to say our final good-bye to Grandpa. She asked me, 'Do you know the most important body part yet, my dear?' I was shocked when she asked me this now. I always thought this was a game between her and me. She saw the confusion on my face and told me, 'This question is very important. It shows that you have really lived in your life. For every body part you gave me in the past, I have told you it was wrong and I have given you an example why. But today is the day you need to learn this important lesson.

She looked down at me as only a mother can. I saw her eyes well up with tears. She said, 'My dear, the most important body part is your shoulder.' I asked, 'Is it because it holds up your head?' She replied, 'No, it is because it can hold the head of a friend or a loved one when they cry. Everybody needs a shoulder to cry on sometime in life, My dear. I only hope that you have enough love and friends that you will always have a shoulder to cry on when you need it.'

Then and there, I knew the most important body part is not a selfish one. It is sympathetic to the pain of others.

People will forget what you said.......
People will forget what you did........
But people will NEVER forget how you made them feel.......
